Job SummaryReporting to the Lead Instructional Supervisor or Program Director, the HSE Tutor is responsible for the High School Equivalency (HSE) tutoring program and providing tutorial services for students seeking their HSE through the American Career College Educational Foundation at HSE Academy. Working alongside the campus HSE instructional team evaluates, plans, establishes study strategies and HSE curriculum for the student that will aid in the learning and comprehension of the course material. The HSE Tutor will also serve as an accountability coach.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conducts daily tutoring sessions in math, reading, science, social studies and writing for prospective students identified by the instructional team or self-identified by the student.
  • Ensures the timely progress and planning reviews for tutoring HSE students and maintains comprehensive records pertaining to the progress of each student that is then communicated to the campus instructional team
  • Tutors HSE students in group sessions or one on one in the content specific areas of the HSE examination

Required Education, Certifications, and Licensures

  • High School Equivalency Certificate (only)
  • Current Driver License

Required Experience and Skills

  • Requires limited job knowledge of systems and procedures. Follows basic work routines and standards. Typically does not require advanced education and requires no prior experience

CA Salary Range

USD $17.14 - USD $23.16 /Hr.
